Kick It In the Park is bringing free community World Cup watch parties to Cheviot Hills Recreation Center on June 14, June 19, and June 24. We need enthusiastic volunteers to welcome attendees, help with wayfinding, support event setup and breakdown, and create an inclusive atmosphere everyone will remember. Whether you're a soccer fan or just love bringing your community together, this is a great opportunity to be at the heart of something special. We need volunteers for our three 'Kick It In the Park' World Cup watch parties at Cheviot Hills Recreation Center on June 14, June 19, and June 24. Days will vary in length depending on the match schedule. The goal is to support the day-of running of the Kick It In the Park events — welcoming attendees, providing wayfinding, assisting with setup/breakdown, supporting programming as needed, and ensuring an inclusive and positive experience for community members at each activation. You will bring the spirit of the World Cup Games to your community! Note: Volunteers are placed at 5 of the 18 Kick It In the Park sites citywide. This pilot helps the City prepare for a larger volunteer program for the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics — your participation and feedback make a difference.

These events take place on Los Angeles Recreation & Parks property and will be staffed by City employees who can provide day-of safety guidance and support — our goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and joyful experience for every Angeleno who walks through the gates.
Our volunteers are the heart of these events, so please only sign up for shifts you know you can make and confirm your availability by late-May — but we're human and understand that emergencies happen, so just reach out and let us know as soon as possible if something comes up.
